The panama hat
that defines an heirloom.

Master weaver hands creating a Montecristi panama hat
Manabí, Ecuador

A craft unchanged
for four centuries.

In the coastal villages of Manabí, master weavers still rise before dawn — when the air is moist and the toquilla straw bends without breaking. From a single Carludovica palmata, a Montecristi superfino can take eight months to complete. We work directly with these families, paying them what their work is worth. No middlemen. No factories. No compromises. Since 2003.
